Jasmine is a 10 year old senior who lived most of her life with her person until the person suddenly passed away.
This delightful 10-year-old has just undergone dental treatment and is now looking for her permanent home. She is eager to become the focal point of someone’s world.
As an older gal, Jasmine is very easy going for the most part. She walks well on a leash, is generally quiet and is find to lay around most of the day. She gets excited for meal time! For that reason, she is on a bit of a diet now and recently added thyroid meds which we think will make her feel better.
Jasmine’s house manners are generally good, but she is not perfect unless she sticks to a good routine and given patience to doo all she needs outside at one visit. She is quiet in a crate at night and that is now where she is also eating. She is in a house with several other dogs and while she might grumble at ones who bug her too much, there have been no issues and she is a fine pack member. She always seems so grateful when some of the attention is put on her.
Jasmine has tested positive for Lyme bacteria and is going through a course of antibiotics for that. When she arrived, her skin was not in the best condition whether due to Lyme, thyroid or parasites she had, but her bloodwork seems generally good and she had no other apparent issues. She would make a lovely companion for an older person who will love her for whatever years she has left.
