Say hello to ๐“๐จ๐›๐ฒ, our 3 year old โ€œ๐™ฉ๐™š๐™š๐™ฃ๐™–๐™œ๐™š ๐™—๐™ค๐™ฎโ€ who came from a rural family where he lived with a female dog and took his job of making puppies a little too seriously. He arrived unneutered, but will be neutered before adoption. Right now heโ€™s full of hormones โ€” which means lots of energy, lots of affection, and lots of wanting to be close to his people. The good news is that once neutered, many of those behaviors should mellow out, leaving behind his naturally sweet, loving personality.

๐—ง๐—ผ๐—ฏ๐˜†โ€™๐˜€ foster home has seven dogs, and heโ€™s done well with all of them. His play style can lean dominant, but again, thatโ€™s mostly hormone driven. He has great recall, knows a couple tricks, and is crate trained. He does have some tooth wear from what appears to be too much crating in his previous home, but he has not shown any destructive crate behavior in foster care.

We think ๐—ง๐—ผ๐—ฏ๐˜† will do best in an active home with adults or older kids. If there are other dogs, they should be playful and patient with his antics while he matures. Heโ€™s still working on house training โ€” the belly band has helped, and heโ€™s already keeping it mostly dry โ€” but heโ€™ll need a family willing to guide him through this stage.

At just under ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿณ ๐—น๐—ฏ๐˜€, Toby is on the smaller side and may fill out a bit. Heโ€™s affectionate, people oriented, and ready for a family who will help him grow into the wonderful companion heโ€™s meant to be.
